If you look at Earth from space, you will see that over 70% of the planet is blue. Rivers, lakes, ice caps and oceans sustain life on Earth as we know it. Accounting for 90% of world trade, the ocean enables us to transport things we use daily - food, clothes, medicines and fuel; and will likely double in the next ten years.  

As humanity faces some of its greatest challenges, including population growth, climate change, and rapid technological developments, there is an urgent need to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050. In this pivotal race, the ocean is a vital resource that plays a crucial role in meeting these challenges.
